Ben is owner of ‘Tasmanian Ebike Adventures’, a high value experiential adventure company operating on Maria Island National Park and Bangor Farm in Tasmania’s south east. He has a long held  commitment to nature conservation and sustainability, along with a passion for adventure expressed as a back-country skier, sea kayak expedition leader and instructor, free-­diver, mountain biker, naturalist, historian and amateur anthropologist.

Ben has two decades of professional experience as a secondary school educator in Tasmania’s public education system. He  holds a Bachelor of Outdoor Education and Nature Tourism from La Trobe University in Bendigo, specialising in experiential outdoor education with a Diploma of Education from Charles Sturt University.

He is a Wilderness Adventure Guide (Tasmania & British Columbia, Canada); Tasmanian Parks & Wildlife Service Education Ranger; Campaigner for the Wilderness Society Tasmania; Marine Adventure Learning Program Coordinator (Woodbridge School); Film Producer; and Convener of the ‘Tasmanian Sustainable Tourism Forum’, a community discussion with panel of experts hosted by the University of Tasmania’s Education for Sustainability Tasmania (September 2017) for the International Year of Sustainable Tourism.
