Session type: Presentation
Experiencing a 6-year robust Outdoor education program in secondary school informed my worldview. Life then became travel, University with a degree in Outdoor Education in Bendigo and work for a decade as an outdoor educator with a growing interest in Wilderness therapy, completed a masters in Social work and a clinical Masters in Youth Mental Health at Melbourne University.
My working life of late has been in Vic, NT and WA in remote or regional Australia delivering mental health care, currently managing headspace Geraldton where the team are dedicated to deliver a clinical Bush Adventure therapy program we call Out There.
I value thought around people in leadership in the 21st Century that can bring people together in open conversations around shared purpose, that places importance on trust and relationships, allows for space to be vulnerable (we can’t know it all) and welcomes individuals who are prepared to get their hands dirty!
