Whole-day Online Roundtable
Tuesday 24 November 2020, 10am to 2.30pm (AEDT)
Your donation will support the voluntary work of AABAT’s Outdoor Healthcare initiative by providing essential technical, communication and logistical support, along with reimbursements for indigenous presenters. Your donation, large or small, will help Outdoor Healthcare provide a meeting point for nature-based health providers and ongoing professional development opportunities within the emerging sector.
It’s been a few months since the “Nature & Health” Online Symposium, and we’re keen to reconnect! We hope you can join us for our FREE whole-day Online Outdoor Health Roundtable.
The day will provide updates on the Outdoor Health initiative – Purpose, Common practice framework, Ethics, results of a Literature Review on the ‘Common elements of nature-based health practices’. The day will also provide opportunities for you to share your thoughts on the journey of Outdoor Health in Australia.
Emeritus Professor Judy Atkinson will share her journey of bringing Indigenous practitioners together in Australia.
Dr Kaye Richards will share her journey towards the formalisation of Outdoor Therapy in the UK.
Professor Mike Gass will share his journey of Adventure Therapy and Outdoor Behavioural Healthcare in the USA.
We’re really keen to update you and hear your thoughts as we create a useful Outdoor Health sector together.
Stay tuned for more program details coming out soon. You can visit the Outdoor Healthcare website: www.outdoorhealthcare.org.au or via the Facebook page www.facebook.com/outdoorhealthcare.
